Diagnostic Prep Instructions
- • Fast for 6 to 8 hours prior to an abdominal ultrasound scan.
- • Drink plenty of water before a pelvic ultrasound to ensure a full bladder.
- • Remove all metallic objects (jewelry, belts, watches) before taking an X-ray.
- • Always inform the technologist if you are or suspect you might be pregnant.
